Eighteen songs participate in the second semi-final on May 12th, competing for the remaining ten entries in the great Final on May 14th. Here’s the list, shamelessly stolen from Wikipedia. Romania is participating today, so I want to apologize for their performance (:

Before saying more about the contestants, I have to give mad props for the rendition of the medley performed by Mika and Laura Pausini, including Sting’s Fragile,

If you want to listen to the songs, you can check them in my previous article, along with my opinion about the best and worst of them.

Below, you’ll see how my favourites fared.

Results

These are the ten countries that managed to qualify for the Grand Final on Sunday, announced in random order:

  • Belgium
  • Czech Republic
  • Azerbaijan
  • Poland
  • Finland
  • Estonia
  • Australia
  • Sweden
  • Romania
  • Serbia

I was pretty sure that Finland, Poland and Estonia would go through, so no surprise there. I’m also happy that Czech Republic managed to squeeze into the final. Romania, sadly and unfortunately, will go to the final, so there’s another evening of torture from my boy WRS. A bit bummed for North Macedonia, but I’m sure they’ll come back with a great song next year too.

Onwards to the Final!
