25 for 2025

It all started a while ago with my Project 365, then my 50 themes challenge, and ended with last year’s Project 366.

While I had a ton of fun taking these photos and adding them to my blog, I made the big mistake of not updating my feed with them, thus rendering them not very popular. On the other hand, it was pretty time consuming in the long run, up to the point of adding to the burnout period I was going through. And since this year didn’t start under the best stars, so I decided that this was the year where I’m toning down on quantity and try to focus on something else. Not quality, but stories. I hope to get to 25 by the end of the year, but who knows what the future holds? I don’t.

What I know for sure is that for this project I will use my trusty Canon 400D digital, with either the flawless Canon 50mm F1.8 STM, or the kit EF-S 18-55mm IS II lenses. I also have a BG-E3 battery grip, which holds two 1100mAh NB-2LH batteries (of which I have 4 new, bought from AliExpress). Love how cheap this setup is and still runs very well.

So without further ado, I will present you the images, each with their own story.

Sour Cherry Flowers

Taken this Easter in my sister’s garden, the two sour cherry trees dominate the landscape of the yard during this time of the year with their huge canopies filled with flowers.

Forest

Sometimes the fun a kid has while playing shows unexpected strength, will and passion. It would be great if adults would have the determination that kids have sometimes.

Loki

While this breed is often regarded as scary, this goodboye is a loving and attentive well-behaved little being. He also drools a lot.

Foxy

My life-saver, my anchor to reality, the light of my eyes, Foxy. While she’s technically a mutt, she has a lot of Golden Retriever features. Also they call it the golden hour for a reason.
