Back in 2012, when reddit wasn’t as shit as now, Aaron Swarz was still alive and u/spez was somewhere in the rainforest, I got one of the coolest design watches I’ve encountered until then, a “timescale” watch, showing time like a bathroom scale would. And no, I didn’t pay 100 bucks for it, I got in on sale for about $30.
Looking back now and seeing the shit that reddit has become, I’m kinda sad I didn’t get the plain “redditless” one without the logo, or the completely black version. It is what it is. Pics below because it’s still a nice watch.

I start an old virtual machine powered by Windows XP. I run Opera. Version 12.16, from 2013 or so. Inside, a saved tab, still browsable: vip5.staging.fashiondays.ro
Heh, memories.
PS: guess I re-invented the time virtual machine

twitter gets a cross
Elon Musk swipes coveted @X handle from Twitter user, offering only some merch and a meeting with execs as compensation for the lucrative account. — Source
I’m not sure if this rebranding is another one of Musk’s fails as CEO, if he’s putting a cross over it, or if it’s acknowledgement that this x-pool of a social network is going to die soon.

If you’re a company, you want your trade secrets to be hidden. If you’re a government authority, that’s even more important. Here’s how a local council in Romania is redacting its documents, with white boxes over the document’s text, allowing the text selection and copying.
Fun.
