A few days ago, I managed to snag five Job Lots of Japanese Karaoke Laser Discs from someone in Italy on ebay. They were fairly cheap, but the shipping added quite a bit. There were about 42 releases, but only a few of them were added to LDDb.com

So I guess the first step is to take nice photos of each discs, and add them to the LDDb database, but this is going to take a while. I don’t even know how to add new releases, and how much information is needed.

Apparently, to add a Laser Disc, you just need to go to this URL and fill in some information, but because I have a lot of pre-processing to do, to take photos, edit and crop them and so on, I have to just take a break, relax and start working. However, this week is not the week, as I’m having a lot of work to do and also catch up with some friends that will be visiting over the long weekend.

The hardest and more complex task would be to identify and name the releases, because they are all in Japanese and while some covers have a ton of text on them, I don’t really know which is relevant and which not. Google Translate could help to a point, but that’s about as far as I can go.
