Art of Rally is a fun racing game made by Funselektor. It mixes an old school low-poly graphic with amazing lighting and great sound. I did a bit of open-world exploring in Finland, and it was nice (but too many damn trees). The campaign is nice, the tracks are mixed and challenging. As I’m not a huge fan of rally car game mechanics, the control feels a bit stiff (using the keyboard on Windows), but this might be just a thing of skill (which I lack, because I was mostly next to the road than on it).
Regardless, the sountrack is really nice, with a solid mix of genres, while being generally chill. The colours and the atmosphere of the game are pretty, feeling very hazy-dreamy, and the huge collection of various cars, starting from the 60s and up to the 80s is wonderful, including the best rally legends.
What’s even nicer about the camge is that you can make your own liveries, or download others from the internet.
It’s a really nice game, but you might appreciate it more if you’re an avid rally fan (which I’m not in particular). Take if for a spin and see for yourself.
