Released mostly for the Spanish market, this collection somehow made its way to Romania in 1998, which was a good thing. I managed to collect a lot of these stickers, but until 2017 or so, I didn’t have an album. Through the magic of the Internet, I was able to track an album for purchase and also some unopened packets (like a hundred or so).

This album was the natural follow-up of Merlin Calcio 98, featuring the best Serie A players, important transfers, and new players. It set up the hype for the (then) upcoming 1998-1999 season. This is a short collection, only 206 stickers + four specials (on the poster), so it was fairly easy to complete by the allowance of a 14 year boy.

Be it for typewriters, 1960s mini skirts, homes that look like the one from “2001: Space Odyssey”, old and fun commercials, retro computers and game consoles. It seems that, somehow, “new” has become just another word for “boring”.

For ages I wanted to buy a typewriter because it offers a unique tactile experience and can help me disconnect from technology. With its satisfying clacking and dinging, it can also enhance my writing process by making me slow down and focus on each word. Between all the models out there, I eventually chose an Olivetti Lettera 32, a classic typewriter that was first introduced in 1963 and quickly gained popularity among writers, journalists and office workers for its durability, ease of use and sleek Italian design, earning a reputation for one of the most iconic typewriters of the 20th century, along with her older sister, the Lettera 22.

This is one of the best albums I’ve collected. It featured all the teams from Serie A and Serie B, the top two tiers of Italian championship for the 1997-1998 season. I got a shit ton of packets and could never finish it, mostly because it was featuring many special stickers, large size or shinies and all the Serie B teams were made with special large size split stickers, which were not that common.

The G910 is a side-opening clamshell smartphone with a form-factor similar to the one of Nokia E90 Communicator. The difference is that, most likely, in order to be used the new Toshiba has to be opened, since it lacks a standard keypad and display on its front panel. The G910 runs on Windows Mobile 6 Professional and has a large QWERTY keyboard. There also is a 2-megapixel camera, a VGA one for video calling and a WVGA (480x800) 3” display. The phone disposes of a built-in GPS and supports 2100 HSDPA, 900/1800/1900 GSM/EDGE and GPRS class 10.
