You don’t have any idea where you are, do you?
A writer from New York City attempts to solve the murder of a girl he hooked up with and travels down south to investigate the circumstances of her death and discover what happened to her.
A nicely paced movie, well-written, directed and acted by B.J. Novak. The story is good and unfolds slowly and nicely with the right amount of unexpected twists. The humour is perfectly placed as a source for awkward moments, and you’re always wanting to learn more about Abbie and her fate.
Visually, the movie is beautiful, and the music helps it a lot. And speaking of acting, Ashton Kutcher does a hell of a job as record producer Quentin Sellers. Actually, the entire cast feels super solid, they really have that family chemistry and they perform great together.
A good watch, a good thriller with good comedy and drama parts. Five popcorns.
