An American rock and roll singer is invited to a cultural festival in East Germany in order to distract from a plot to destroy NATO submarines, but he accidentally becomes involved in a resistance plot to rescue an imprisoned scientist.
Coming from the genius behind “Airplane!”, “Police Squad!” and “Hot Shots!”, this movie is one of the greatest slapstick parodies of all time, bringing together the likes of Val Kilmer (RIP), Omar Sharif, Jeremy Kemp and Lucy Gutteridge. The jokes are fantastic, the slapstick is spot on, and it is one of the funniest comedies I’ve seen recently. Seven popcorns and it goes into the Movie Vault.
