The story of how one of the world’s most popular video games found its way to players around the globe. Businessman Henk Rogers and Tetris inventor Alexei Pajitnov join forces in the USSR, risking it all to bring Tetris to the masses.
An enterprising game developer risks everything in a race to outmaneuver duplicitous insiders to negotiate a deal with Soviet Union bureaucrats for the international licensing rights to what would eventually become one of the most recognizable and widely played games in history.
This is a very Hollywood take on the story of Alexei Pajitnov and Henk Rogers, the most important people in making Tetris an internationally popular game. Based on real events, the script is decent. I like Taron Egerton, and he did a good performance portraying Henk Rogers, but all performances are great. The pacing is good, the music is very good, and all in all it makes for a good movie.
