Follow-up series to Star Trek: The Next Generation (1987) and Star Trek: Nemesis (2002) that centers on Jean-Luc Picard in the next chapter of his life.
Something something Jean-Luc Picard, something something Star Trek. While the first season is fairly decent, with Picard doing stuff around the Universe with his new buddies, the second season gets boring and weird with pretty forgetable.
However, the third season brings an old new approach, capturing the essential part of what made Jean-Luc Picard who he is, the chemistry and unity of the cast of The New Generation. While I’m not going to give too many spoilers, I will just say that this is great. It’s the perfect ending of the story of Jean-Luc Picard. This gets a six popcorn rating, but the third season is easily a 7.
