A gangster family epic set in 1900s England, centering on a gang who sew razor blades in the peaks of their caps, and their fierce boss Tommy Shelby.
Man, crime never looked better. The cinematography is great, the story is your typical crime family ascension story, with great sets, costumes and acting, especially with great seasonal or guest stars, like Tom Hardy, Paddy Considine, Sam Neill, Anya Taylor-Joy, Adrien Brody, only to name a few. And the music? Blimey, so much Arctic Monkeys, I think they retired because of the billions in royalties from how many AM songs appear here Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds, and PJ Harvey. While it has a solid 8.7 score on IMDb, every episode is strong, one of the perks of having only 6 episodes per season (36 in total) is that you have no fillers. Seven popcorns and I’m amazed that I’ve let this aside for so long. On the other, it’s great to see it all unfold in one setting, and can’t wait for the movie going to release in March 2026 that maybe wrap up the story.
