The boys are back with a new Jackass movie. It doesn’t click the same way the old ones did, I’m not sure if it is because I got older or they got older, but some of the gags were meh. However, they still had a few good ones, the kind where you spit your coffee good. I loved the throwbacks to some old gags.

In other news, Knoxville has white hair, Pontius looks like a hobo, Wee-man is old, Preston is mostly decorative (they have a new, young, fat guy to do his gags), Dave England looks like a grandma, Bam didn’t make it into the movie, Steve-O is doing great but hasn’t lost his craziness.

They have some new young fellas with them, some new blood to be used and abused. While they’re good cannon meat, I don’t think they have the charisma and pizzazz to have a show of their own.

All in all, it’s nice to see some new trauma-inducing Jackass, and I think the guys still have it, but they’re slowly getting out of good ideas. Still worth a watch. Four popcorns and a hard hat ⛑️

Good drama about the story of teenager Richard Wershe Jr., who became an undercover informant for the FBI during the 1980s, at age 14.

The pacing is good, the acting is very good, Oscar-winner Matthew McConaughghgeyghegheyghey leading nicely this movie along with rookie Richie Merritt.

Another fun animation by Disney/Pixar, this time about what happens when a thirteen year old girl receives the ability of “poofing” into a giant red panda whenever her emotions overwhelm her.

Of course, it’s got the traditional Pixar/Disney movie emotional roller-coaster, the movie start fun, hits a rough patch, to eventually fix the situation and for everything to turn fine in the end. But you already knew that. Still, a very good movie to watch. 5 popcorns and a 🐼.

It’s later than you think

Time travel comedy with the always-funny Ryan Reynolds. Nice effects, cute story, and it was nice to see the little Walker Scobell play a good young RR. Good performance by Mark Ruffalo as well, and Jennifer Garner is still hot, even if she’s like 84. Good movie, great watch. Four popcorns.

A broken army man. A broken army dog. A connection in the making, an adventure is developing. A sometimes emotional, sometimes funny story if you can get over the US-army-best-army narrative.

I’m a sucker for dogs and dog movies, this was entertaining enough, so it gets 5 popcorns and a dog biscuit.

This is by far the best movie of the lot (including the Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield trilogies). It wraps the Multiverse together in a nicely done story, it has the laughs, the cries, the booms, the zooms, and the feels. Stellar performances of the trilogy’s cast, Tom Holland being the most down-to-Earth-even-if-a-child Spider-Man ever, Marisa Tomei being an excellent Aunt May, and also adding previous villains Alfred Molina (as Dr. Otto Octavius), Willem Dafoe (as the Norman Osborn/Green Goblin), Jamie Foxx (as Matt Dillon) , as well as the other two Spider-Men (Maguire and Garfield) reprising their roles in an excellent way. Loved how each Peter Parker has its own personality and it’s really nice that they didn’t try to blend them into a single character. Excellent movie, six popcorns.

Drive To Survive is back for its fourth season, to cover the 2021 Formula One Championship season. It’s got drama, Max, Lewis, Toto, Christian and Geri Halliwell Horner, Roscoe, and Gunther Steiner. What’s not to like about it?

The moment you see the Lionsgate logo on the screen, you know you’re gonna see a good thriller, some gore and some tits. Like 99.9% sure.

Gamer. Or as I call it, Counter-Strike: The Movie. In the first 5 minutes, I think I counted about 2417 shots fired. It gets easier on the brains after that, and it gets better on the other aspects: the story is decent, the cast is filled with well-known faces: Gerard Butler, Michael C. Hall, Kyra Sedgwick, Amber Valletta, Lucacris, John Leguizamo, John DeLancie, Terry Crews. I also loved Milo Ventimiglia as Rick Rape, that was unexpected.

It’s got nice colorful interludes from the “Society” LARP, nudity, gore, surrealist scenes and so on. Takes a swing at grindhouse B-movies and does it in style.

The story is not something exceptional, let’s say if Death Race is Need For Speed, then Gamer is Call of Duty. Nice effects, nice gritty scenery and a lot of blood splashing everywhere. I also liked the television broadcasts splices here and there, specific to the genre.

All in all, a fun watch.

With its desaturated and high-contrast palette, Cypher is a good mind-bending, suspenseful, sci-fi spy movie. It looks like a modern film-noir, an increasingly bizarre trip in the world of industrial espionage. Good music, good story, good pacing, nicely acted.

Directed and written by David Cronenberg (The Fly, eXistenZ), this is a great thriller/horror following the head of a bizarre TV station who finds the broadcast signal of snuff films, and starts an adventure following the signal, losing touch with reality in a series of increasingly bizarre hallucinations.

Also, it stars playboy-bunny, Blondie-frontman Debbie Harry, which not only acts nice, but is also hot af.

The tone of the movie is ominous, has a few body-horror scenes, the directing keeps you under tension at most times, its techno-surrealism being only surpassed by the acting of the main actors. It is cryptic, weird, stomach-turning at some points, and it has a great mysterious and creepy soundtrack. Oh, and it has a lot of nudity. And a Hitler ballerina

It touches a lot of classic cyberpunk topics, as well as modern themes, like virtual reality, digital alter-ego, psycho-sexuality, and others.
