In a small isolated village, in 1953, a wedding is interrupted by the news about the death of Stalin. Because any public celebration is forbidden, they decide to turn the happy event into a silent wedding.

Absurd comedy that turns into tragedy. It’s the pinnacle of Romanian cinematography, Horatiu Malaele doing a great job as both Director and one of the Writers of the movie and leading a great cast with pretty much every big actor that was still alive at that point: Meda Victor, Alexandru Potocean, Valentin Teodosiu, Alexandru Bindea, Luminita Gheorghiu, Dan Condurache, Serban Pavlu, Victor Rebengiuc, Tamara Buciuceanu-Botez, George Ivascu, George Mihaita, Ovidiu Niculescu. Seven popcorns is not enough for how good this movie is. It also should have a special slot in the Movie Vault.
