Follows the aftermath of the death of brewery mogul, Sir Benjamin Guinness, and the profound impact of his will on the fate of his four adult children: Arthur, Edward, Anne and Ben.
Created by Steven Knight (Spencer, Peaky Blinders, See) comes a series set in Ireland at the end of the 1800s, bringing together a top tier set of actors, like Anthony Boyle, James Norton, Seamus O’Hara (An Irish Goodbye), Jack Gleeson (King Joffrey from Game of Thrones) along Emily Fairn and Niamh McCormack. The sets are very immersive, reminding me a bit of Assassin’s Creed Syndicate, and the music is absolutely fantastic. The only thing I don’t like is the crappy brownish colour grading. Definitely worth a watch, five popcorns and a barrel of Guinness.
