After his home is conquered by the tyrannical emperors who now lead Rome, Lucius is forced to enter the Colosseum and must look to his past to find strength to return the glory of Rome to its people.
Something something gladiator sequel, where of course the lost prisoner is someone important because everyone saw that coming from 500 miles away. Otherwise, it’s a pretty movie, but don’t look for reasoning or decent writing, because it ain’t none. Also having Denzel play the role of some high roller something, during a time where his people would be thrown to the lions systematically is really hard to believe. Four popcorns because of Pedro Pascal and because while bad, it does it job at entertaining for a couple of hours.
