Set in the summer of 1957, with Enzo Ferrari’s auto empire in crisis, the ex-racer turned entrepreneur pushes himself and his drivers to the edge as they launch into the Mille Miglia, a treacherous 1,000-mile race across Italy.

Even if you don’t like cars, this movie is beyond beautiful. It’s poetry in motion, and a masterpiece that reflects the masterpieces that the Ferraris of the 50’s were. Using some great camerawork which reminds me a bit of Wolfgang von Trips’s “home videos”, in addition to great acting by Adam Driver and Penelope Cruz, this is a movie worth seeing on a big screen. Five popcorns and goes into the Movie Vault.
