Robinson Crusoe is shipwrecked and he finds himself all alone on a tropical island. With a few tools he manages to rescue from the wreck he has to learn to support himself until help arrives.
Slow-burning, well-written, excellently acted. The locations are beautiful, and altough the story doesn’t unfold too fast, there’s always something interesting on the screen. Great movie, a good spin on a story told in countless ways, who manages to throw a subtle jab at politics, history and personal values. Gets five popcorns and it sails smoothly into the Movie Vault.
