An intellectually disabled man undergoes an experiment that gives him the intelligence of a genius.
Charly is a brilliant movie about a stupid person. Because “stupid” means without intelligence, Charly is an incredible mobvie about the human condition and getting over it. It’s emotional, sad, uplifting and inspiring at the same time. Cliff Robertson does a great job at giving life to Charly (role which brought him a well-deserved Oscar), the story is great and the direction is excellent. This is a classic 60s movie that should be on the same shelf with movies like “The Clockwork Orange”, or “2001: Space Odyssey”. Five popcorns and lands into the Movie Vault.
