Battlestar Galactica: The Face of the Enemy (2008-2009)
The 10 webisodes, entitled “The Face of the Enemy,” tell a story that takes place between seasons 4.0 and 4.5 of Battlestar and follow Lt. Gaeta when he is sent off in a Raptor with a handful of strangers and one of them mysteriously dies. The psychological human-vs.-Cylon struggle is played out in the restrictive confines of a Raptor as everyone is a suspect, and paranoia sets in among the group.
This is a web miniseries that follows Lt. Gaeta during a routine Raptor flight that goes wrong, leaving him and a small crew, including a Number Eight Cylon, stranded in deep space.
You can watch all the parts together in a single movie, on YouTube, and unfortunately, episode 10 is lost because it keeps getting copyright striked. So here’s a spoiler summary for episode 10.
Episode 10 Summary
The final webisode sees Gaeta alone in the Raptor. He injects himself with morpha once, but cannot do so again, singing to himself the same song as earlier in the season. Hoshi and Racetrack find him. Back on board the fleet, Gaeta is treated for his injuries. In a meeting with Tigh, Gaeta insists the Cylon alliance is a mistake and asks to speak directly with Adama. When Tigh asks why, Gaeta responds “because you’re a Cylon.” Tigh sternly offers up a forthcoming meeting with Tyrol, where Gaeta can express his views to the Admiral. Hoshi catches up with Gaeta and asks why Gaeta would set up a meeting with an unknown person, referred to as “him, of all people.” Gaeta plans to protect Hoshi, but that Hoshi has a bright future if what Gaeta’s planning doesn’t work out. Gaeta tells Hoshi to keep his head down then leaves, with Hoshi asking “Felix, what are you gonna do?” as Gaeta walks away.
