Just like it’s brother, the [TCM-3]((/gadgets/sony-tcm3/), there’s not a lot of information online about the TCM-5, except that’s made somewhere in the 80s to early 90s. Unfortunately, both units I have suffered from a lot of corrosion on the battery contacts and need some love, but I remember playing with them a bit using a 6V adapter. Nice machines, I’m sorry they weren’t loved more by their previous owners.
I was lucky to find some more pictures on line of the recorder and it’s a beautiful model.
