25 for 2025
It all started a while ago with my Project 365, then my 50 themes challenge, and ended with last year’s Project 366.
While I had a ton of fun taking these photos and adding them to my blog, I made the big mistake of not updating my feed with them, thus rendering them not very popular. On the other hand, it was pretty time consuming in the long run, up to the point of adding to the burnout period I was going through. And since this year didn’t start under the best stars, so I decided that this was the year where I’m toning down on quantity and try to focus on something else. Not quality, but stories. I hope to get to 25 by the end of the year, but who knows what the future holds? I don’t.
What I know for sure is that for this project I will use my trusty Canon 400D digital, with either the flawless Canon 50mm F1.8 STM, or the kit EF-S 18-55mm IS II lenses. I also have a BG-E3 battery grip, which holds two 1100mAh NB-2LH batteries (of which I have 4 new, bought from AliExpress). Love how cheap this setup is and still runs very well.
So without further ado, I will present you the images, each with their own story.
Luna
This is my Olivetti Lettera 32 typewriter photographed when taking a pause while writing Blog Questions Challenge: Technology a few days ago.

Sour Cherry Flowers
Taken this Easter in my sister’s garden, the two sour cherry trees dominate the landscape of the yard during this time of the year with their huge canopies filled with flowers.

Foxy
My life-saver, my anchor to reality, the light of my eyes, Foxy. While she’s technically a mutt, she has a lot of Golden Retriever features. Also they call it the golden hour for a reason.

Maya
Yes, I seem to have a pattern. The third post in a row with a photo of a dog, I guess it’s because these little creatures have immense hearts, are resilient in face of hardships and despite all the bad things they get in their life, they manage to get somehow on top, move on and find the strength in their heart to love the human kind. Maya is a dog that lived a hard life, lost on the streets, chased and haunted, surving an accident which took one of her paw, she is the perfect example of how nothing can bring them down. An angel, a hero, a loving soul.

Luna
Coincidences are never a bad thing, and the fact that this cat has the same name as my typewriter is a fortunate accident. Luna is the second cat of my niece, she’s lovingly giving soft nibbles as a token of appreciation and she’s always playful and talkative. And hungry. Boy, oh boy, this cat eats as much as a pitbull. I think I’ve seen her murder a cow and eat it in one sitting. Mad cat, I tell you. On the other hand, she’s super cute and she’s been adopted since the day she sat on my niece’s porch and said “this is my home nao”, proof once again that a cat will choose you, you never choose your cat.

Minnie
Say henlo to my little fren! She is Minnie, she is five years old, my niece’s cat and since Luna came around, she is very jealous and upset and doesn’t take (or give) a crap anymore. Here she looks like she is manifesting her zen, but it’s actually her face of “please take that other cat away from me nao”. I love Minnie, she’s lovely, loving, very talkative and she runs the neighbourhood. Top cat!
